B-Team
You guys are done with the Jonathan Edwards posters and presentations. I'll have pictures of these to post soon...
Great job the two of you who presented their Edwards/Queen mashup, Lexi's group, and Charles' group. I expect all of you to have posted his/her groups' or individual's lyrics by class time on Thursday (please not until after school on Wednesday, so as to avoid unfair advantage for the A-team).
You also have until Monday, October 13 to compose a written analysis of Edwards/Plato, in which you explicate the connections between Plato's allegory of the cave (Republic, book 7) and Edwards' Sinners in the Hands...This should be published individually on your weebly under individual assignments.
Finally, here's the link to your quizlet vocabulary terms for rhetorical analysis: http://quizlet.com/52595607/hhsengap3-flash-cards/
Your quiz on this one will be on Monday, October 13.
Your reading (with notes/annotations) consists of the two PDFs on the resources page entitled, "John Hale" and "Cotton Mather's' Diary". Read these as conscientiously and meticulously. Know that class discussion and rhetorical analysis revolve around your reading. Don't give these short shrift.
