Tuesday
Today we are going to watch a short video on message mapping. You will need three things out as we watch the video:
1) a notebook, paper or laptop/ipad, etc.
2) writing utensil
3) knowledge of your POTUS

Message maps deliver concentrated content in a persuasive manner. They're powerful, pungent and prolific. The message map. Know where you're message is going! Use one today! --Mr. W
The above message map for message maps is almost tweetable. What is missing is the explanation. That's where I would get to use the E in SPES to explain my claim.
HOMEWORK
Write your elevator speech. Remember to base it on your message map for your POTUS. You are welcome to try any strategy you wish to persuade your audience to vote for your President. You are welcome to build your speech on the laurels (or demerits of others) of your own record, or to combine these with your campaign promises. Bottom line is, use the art of rhetoric, which means "any available means" to persuade your audience.
We will deliver the elevator speeches in class on Wednesday. We will also vote on the best ones. The top 8 POTUSes will be chosen to create an election campaign. More to follow in class tomorrow.
